The Summer 2020 (errr 2021?) Olympic Games are about to get underway, and for the first time Skateboarding will be included as a medal event. The Olympics have always been a contentious topic of discussion, but whichever side of the fence you're on it's happening so get ready for everything that's coming.
Shop team rider Alexis Sablone is heading to Tokyo, and skateboarding purists can sleep well with her as a main spokesperson of the people. She was recently profiled in the June episode of HBO's Real Sports and put the words to what many of us are thinking in that "There is a Sportification happening, but Skateboarding itself is not a sport".
