orchard skate shop grand opening nick sherman

On this day in 2006 Jon Devoe and Broderick Gumpright opened the doors of our little clubhouse on the hill, with a mission to serve the Boston Skateboarding community.  The scene and shop have grown leaps and bounds over the last 10 years, and we are incredibly grateful for all of the support we’ve been shown.  We’re looking forward to what the future brings!

Starting today we’re kicking off a year long trip down memory lane, and will be digging through the archives and documenting all the good times.  Check the #DecadeOfOrchard tag on Instagram and join the party!

Nick Sherman was responsible for penning most of the shop’s original design aesthetic and along with creating the grand opening flyer up above he made many of the first shop’s shirt designs including the bird logo, and the Bomb Mission Hill graphic.  To celebrate the shop’s 10 year anniversary we reissued a small batch of Bomb Mission Hill tee shirts and hoodies.  Scoop them up at either shop or in the online shop before they’re all gone!
